Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michel François could be acquired at Phillips in London in July 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Contigue (souffles dans le verre transparent) changed hands for GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,182.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel François achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souffles dans le verre in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michel François konnte im Juli 2021 bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Contigue (souffles dans le verre transparent) für GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.182,09) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel François erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souffles dans le verre im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.776,08).
