Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Infinis Bailleurs (Endless Yawners) by Michel François. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,570.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel François achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Souffles dans le verre in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Infinis Bailleurs (Endless Yawners) von Michel François zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.570,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel François erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Souffles dans le verre im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.776,08).
