Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Kagan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2021. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Drop the Hammer sold for USD 2,772.00 (€ 2,399.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Kagan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work It Begins in June last year with an auction result of HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Kagan erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Drop the Hammer für USD 2.772,00 (€ 2.399,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Kagan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit It Begins im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43).
