Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Andrews achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2017. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Untitled (Landscape with Waterfall, Scotland II) sold for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 92,640.90) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Andrews erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Landscape with Waterfall, Scotland II) für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 92.640,90) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
