Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Garden Party by Michael Andrews was sold in the Modern British Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 93,750.00 (€ 110,132.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).

Die Arbeit A Garden Party von Michael Andrews wurde im März 2021 in der Auktion Modern British Art Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 93.750,00 (€ 110.132,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
