This artwork by Michael Andrews achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November 2021. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Landscape sold for GBP 162,750.00 (€ 191,083.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Andrews have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Andrews erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Landscape für GBP 162.750,00 (€ 191.083,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Andrews auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
