This work without title by Melvin Edwards was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March 2021. It achieved a price of USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,459.59), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 68%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Melvin Edwards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ile Ogun, Planetary, Road to Goma, Alterable [Four Works|AID1113294] in May this year with an auction result of USD 409,500.00 (€ 384,362.68).
