Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2003 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art, which included the work Landscape with cows by Melle. The price achieved of EUR 5,975.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Other works by Melle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2003 the work A bird on stilts was auctioned for EUR 10,755.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2003 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Twentieth Century Art including Belgian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with cows von Melle zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.975,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Melle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2003 die Arbeit A bird on stilts für EUR 10.755,00 versteigert.
