Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Stilt Bird by Melle. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 1,680.00. Admittedly, works by Melle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A bird on stilts in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 10,755.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stilt Bird von Melle zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 1.680,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Melle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A bird on stilts im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.755,00.
