Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Melle was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014. The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Melle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A bird on stilts, which sold at auction in June 2003 for EUR 10,755.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Melle kam im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Melle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A bird on stilts beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für EUR 10.755,00 versteigert wurde.
