Sold at the lower estimate price
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery, which included the work Living Pillars by Matthew Chambers. The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,918.91) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matthew Chambers - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Noble Rider & Sound, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,619.50).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from the Collection of Joni Gordon of Newspace Gallery durch, in der auch die Arbeit Living Pillars von Matthew Chambers zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.918,91) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00.
