Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work For All Their Beauty by Matthew Chambers for GBP 1,008.00 (€ 1,129.52). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art| London at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Matthew Chambers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Noble Rider & Sound in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,619.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit For All Their Beauty von Matthew Chambers für GBP 1.008,00 (€ 1.129,52) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art| London bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Matthew Chambers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Noble Rider & Sound im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.619,50).
