The result of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,520.68) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Matthew Chambers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Noble Rider & Sound in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 28,125.00 (€ 20,619.50).

Die Arbeit A Utility Of Immense Details von Matthew Chambers wurde im Juni 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.520,68) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Matthew Chambers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Noble Rider & Sound im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.125,00 (€ 20.619,50).
