Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2003 Christies in London held the auction Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints, which included the work The Embrace (B. 15) by Master MZ. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,155.37). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Master MZ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich), which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,856.48).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master, Modern and Contemporary Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Embrace (B. 15) von Master MZ zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.155,37) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Master MZ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.856,48) versteigert wurde.
