Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine by Master MZ for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,456.61). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Prints at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Master MZ have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,856.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Martyrdom of Saint Catherine von Master MZ für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.456,61) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Master MZ auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.856,48).
