Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Prints, which included the work The Woman with an Owl ('Duck Dich') by Master MZ. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,819.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Master MZ have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 28,856.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Woman with an Owl ('Duck Dich') von Master MZ zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.819,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Master MZ auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ball (The Palace Of Duke Albert Iv At Munich) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 28.856,48).
