Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe by Martin Mull was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,702.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Mull - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hero'S Welcome, which sold at auction in November 2007 for USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Déjeuner Sur L'Herbe von Martin Mull wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.702,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Mull mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hero'S Welcome beobachtet, die im November 2007 für USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44) versteigert wurde.
