Auction result well in line with expectations

In June 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included the work Jack And Jill Ii by Martin Mull. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,725.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Martin Mull have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Hero'S Welcome in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 73,000.00 (€ 49,700.44).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Juni 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jack And Jill Ii von Martin Mull zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.725,60) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Martin Mull auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Hero'S Welcome im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 73.000,00 (€ 49.700,44).
