This artwork by Martin Boyce achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work We have Become the Air Now sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,982.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Martin Boyce - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2017 for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,876.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Martin Boyce erzielte im März 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit We have Become the Air Now für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.982,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Martin Boyce mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2017 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.876,05) versteigert wurde.
