Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2019 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Mission by Mark Francis. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,905.83), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Francis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Symbiosis (Mesh), which sold at auction in July 2008 for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 41,228.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2019 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mission von Mark Francis zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.905,83) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Francis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Symbiosis (Mesh) beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 41.228,09) versteigert wurde.
