Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Konbrella by Maria Farrar for USD 3,528.00 (€ 3,606.26). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maria Farrar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wave in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,161.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Konbrella von Maria Farrar für USD 3.528,00 (€ 3.606,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maria Farrar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wave im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.161,29).
