Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maria Farrar achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2021. In the 21st Century Art Day Sale auction, the work Ganache Torte sold for HKD 500,000.00 (€ 56,635.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maria Farrar; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Wave sold at auction in October 2020 with the realized price of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,161.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maria Farrar erzielte im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Ganache Torte für HKD 500.000,00 (€ 56.635,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Maria Farrar; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Wave im Oktober 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.161,29).
