Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Good carrot Bad carrot by Maria Farrar was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,933.25). Admittedly, works by Maria Farrar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wave in October 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,161.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Good carrot Bad carrot von Maria Farrar wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.933,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maria Farrar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wave im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.161,29).
