The work Dishes by Margaret Watkins was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2002. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,145.00 (€ 13,303.31), 46% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margaret Watkins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Domestic Symphony, c. 1920, which sold at auction in October 2018 for USD 50,000.00 (€ 44,122.84).

Die Arbeit Dishes von Margaret Watkins wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.145,00 (€ 13.303,31) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Margaret Watkins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Domestic Symphony, c. 1920 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für USD 50.000,00 (€ 44.122,84) versteigert wurde.
