Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition Abstraite (Rouge) by Marcel Delmotte for GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,174.05). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art | London Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,400.00 – 3,400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcel Delmotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Colonnes D’Hercule in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,079.71).

Im April 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition Abstraite (Rouge) von Marcel Delmotte für GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.174,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art | London Including Works from the Collection of Marina Picasso bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.400,00 – 3.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcel Delmotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Colonnes D’Hercule im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.079,71).
