This artwork by Makiko Kudo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July last year. In the First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Invisible sold for GBP 15,120.00 (€ 18,055.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Makiko Kudo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Floating Island sold at auction in August 2020 with the realized price of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,414.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 89 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Makiko Kudo erzielte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War and Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Invisible für GBP 15.120,00 (€ 18.055,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Makiko Kudo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Floating Island im August 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.414,29).
