This artwork by Makiko Kudo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2020. In the The World Is A Sphere: Art from the Faurschou Foundation auction, the work A Ship of Winter Shogun sold for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,298.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Makiko Kudo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Floating Island in August 2020 with an auction result of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,414.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Makiko Kudo erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The World Is A Sphere: Art from the Faurschou Foundation wurde die Arbeit A Ship of Winter Shogun für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.298,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Makiko Kudo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Floating Island im August 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.414,29).
