This artwork by Maki Hosokawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2017. In the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction, the work Seven Lucky Gods On Dragon Boat sold for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,165.09) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maki Hosokawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 348,000.00 (€ 355,376.09).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Maki Hosokawa erzielte im Januar 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Seven Lucky Gods On Dragon Boat für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.165,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maki Hosokawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 348.000,00 (€ 355.376,09).
