Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maki Hosokawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in September 2021. In the Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux auction, the work Sakura Siteseeing sold for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 15,372.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maki Hosokawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 348,000.00 (€ 355,376.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maki Hosokawa erzielte im September 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Otaku Redux wurde die Arbeit Sakura Siteseeing für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 15.372,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 65.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maki Hosokawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 348.000,00 (€ 355.376,09).
