Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Maki Hosokawa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2020. In the From Japan with Love auction, the work Untitled (Four Works) sold for GBP 1,386.00 (€ 1,539.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maki Hosokawa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 348,000.00 (€ 355,376.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maki Hosokawa erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion From Japan with Love wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Four Works) für GBP 1.386,00 (€ 1.539,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maki Hosokawa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Campbell'S Da Vinci Soup (Painted In 2021) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 348.000,00 (€ 355.376,09).
