Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Animal LC3 by Lygia Clark was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,247.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lygia Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 2,225,000.00 (€ 1,713,119.80).

Die Arbeit Animal LC3 von Lygia Clark kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.247,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lygia Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Contra Relevo (Objeto N. 7) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.225.000,00 (€ 1.713.119,80).
