Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Trama Vertical by Luis Guevara Moreno was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 56,250.00 (€ 49,677.65). Other works by Luis Guevara Moreno have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2015 by the work Primer Coplanal at USD 87,500.00 (€ 79,588.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Trama Vertical von Luis Guevara Moreno im November 2018 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 56.250,00 (€ 49.677,65) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Luis Guevara Moreno wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Primer Coplanal mit USD 87.500,00 (€ 79.588,87).
