Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Luis González Palma could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in July 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design auction, the work 'El Hombre Triste (The Sad Man)' changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,307.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Luis González Palma have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Loteria I, 1989 in March 2014 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 21,775.42).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Luis González Palma konnte im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion CONTEMPORARY LIVING – Photographs, Prints & Design wechselte die Arbeit 'El Hombre Triste (The Sad Man)' für USD 4.750,00 (€ 4.307,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Luis González Palma auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Loteria I, 1989 im März 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 21.775,42).
