Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arapaho Ix by Ludwig Sander was sold in the Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,515.98) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Sander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Athabascan Viii, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42).

Die Arbeit Arapaho Ix von Ludwig Sander wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated featuring works from “In Its Own Light: Property from the Collection of Ed Cohen and Victoria Shaw” bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 10.515,98) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Sander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Athabascan Viii beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42) versteigert wurde.
