Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ludwig Sander achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Yellow) sold for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,875.76) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ludwig Sander - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Athabascan Viii, which sold at auction in March 2015 for USD 35,000.00 (€ 32,585.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ludwig Sander erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Yellow) für USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.875,76) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ludwig Sander mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Athabascan Viii beobachtet, die im März 2015 für USD 35.000,00 (€ 32.585,42) versteigert wurde.
