Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Steel Valley by Louis Lozowick for USD 75,600.00 (€ 70,450.10). This price was achieved in the auction Modern Day Auction at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Louis Lozowick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pittsburgh in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 386,500.00 (€ 304,474.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Steel Valley von Louis Lozowick für USD 75.600,00 (€ 70.450,10) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Lozowick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pittsburgh im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 304.474,55).
