A top price for Louis Lozowick - as previously expected
In November 2008 Christies in New York held the auction The Modern Age: The Collection of Alice Lawrence, which included the work Pittsburgh by Louis Lozowick. The price achieved of USD 386,500.00 (€ 304,474.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pittsburgh is the most expensive artwork by Louis Lozowick that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Modern Age: The Collection of Alice Lawrence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pittsburgh von Louis Lozowick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 386.500,00 (€ 304.474,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 300.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Pittsburgh das teuerste Kunstwerk von Louis Lozowick, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
