This artwork by Lois Lane achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 11,340.00 (€ 10,567.51) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lois Lane; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,589.40).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Lois Lane erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 11.340,00 (€ 10.567,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Lois Lane; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.589,40).
