Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Madonna and Child with Angels (B. 2; Bohlin 3) by Ludovico Carracci was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2000. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,246.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludovico Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmacis And Hermaphroditus in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,400,000.00 (€ 10,832,732.69).

Die Arbeit Madonna and Child with Angels (B. 2; Bohlin 3) von Ludovico Carracci kam im Dezember 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.246,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ludovico Carracci erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Salmacis And Hermaphroditus im Juli 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.400.000,00 (€ 10.832.732,69).
