In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours Including Works from the Collection of Jean Bonna auction, the work Christ carrying the Cross sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,096.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludovico Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmacis And Hermaphroditus in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,400,000.00 (€ 10,832,732.69).
