Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Two Separate Studies For The Figure Of St. John In A Lamentation; Verso: Study For The Figure Of The Madonna In An Assumption by Ludovico Carracci was sold in the Old Master & British Drawings auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 23,037.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ludovico Carracci achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Salmacis And Hermaphroditus in July 2006 with an auction result of GBP 7,400,000.00 (€ 10,832,732.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Recto: Two Separate Studies For The Figure Of St. John In A Lamentation; Verso: Study For The Figure Of The Madonna In An Assumption von Ludovico Carracci wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
