Sold at the upper estimate price
The work Guilin Gorges by Liu Jiutong was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in January 2016. The auction ended at the price of HKD 150,000.00 (€ 17,780.65), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Liu Jiutong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mountain Against Island in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Guilin Gorges von Liu Jiutong wurde im Januar 2016 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 150.000,00 (€ 17.780,65) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
