This artwork by Liu Jiutong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Spring Sunshine In Jiangnan sold for HKD 937,500.00 (€ 114,502.46) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 450,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Jiutong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mountain Against Island sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Spring Sunshine In Jiangnan für HKD 937.500,00 (€ 114.502,46) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 450.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
