Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work REMINISCENCE OF AN ALLEY by Liu Jiutong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 48,742.67). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jiutong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountain Against Island, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit REMINISCENCE OF AN ALLEY von Liu Jiutong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 400.000,00 (€ 48.742,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mountain Against Island beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90) versteigert wurde.
