The work Bridges on the Waterway by Liu Jiutong was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 600,000.00 (€ 69,348.90), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jiutong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountain Against Island, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).

Die Arbeit Bridges on the Waterway von Liu Jiutong wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 600.000,00 (€ 69.348,90) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mountain Against Island beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90) versteigert wurde.
