Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mountain Of Memories by Liu Jiutong was sold in the Boundless: Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 50,573.95) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 380,000.00 – 480,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jiutong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountain Against Island, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mountain Of Memories von Liu Jiutong wurde im Dezember 2017 in der Auktion Boundless: Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 50.573,95) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 380.000,00 – 480.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mountain Against Island beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90) versteigert wurde.
