The work Plum Blossoms of Jiangnan by Liu Jiutong was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2016. It achieved a price of HKD 475,000.00 (€ 54,901.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 36%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Liu Jiutong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mountain Against Island, which sold at auction in November 2015 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).

Die Arbeit Plum Blossoms of Jiangnan von Liu Jiutong kam im Mai 2016 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 54.901,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 36%. Für andere Arbeiten von Liu Jiutong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mountain Against Island beobachtet, die im November 2015 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90) versteigert wurde.
