In May 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Rooted in Time ; & The Last Flowers by Liu Jiutong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,002.55), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Liu Jiutong; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mountain Against Island sold at auction in November 2015 with the realized price of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 166,104.90).

Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rooted in Time ; & The Last Flowers von Liu Jiutong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.002,55) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Liu Jiutong; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mountain Against Island im November 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 166.104,90).
