In July 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work Stellar Axis by Lita Albuquerque. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,292.00 (€ 4,460.55), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Lita Albuquerque have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,221.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stellar Axis von Lita Albuquerque zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.292,00 (€ 4.460,55) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lita Albuquerque auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 37.221,47).
