In June 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) by Lita Albuquerque. The »bidding war« ended at USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,221.47), 47% above the upper estimate. With this result, Auric Field Solar Flash (Gold au2) is even the most expensive work of art by Lita Albuquerque that we have observed at auctions so far.
